movie review (Fantastic Mr Fox)

Fantastic Mr Fox Movie review

Mr Fox, Mrs Fox, their son Ash and their young nephew Kristofferson live a normal family life. Mr Fox begins to miss the thrill of  being a chicken thief and soon goes back to his thieving ways and in doing so brings danger to his own family and his community. Mr Fox, his family and their entire community get trapped underground with no way out, because the farmers that Mr Fox stole from are now hunting them with the intention to kill the thieving Fox.

In the beginning of the movie we learn that Mrs Fox used to be somewhat of an assistant to her husband, in the movie the fox family live as a family with their nephew but in the book they have four small foxes and they don’t have names.

The movie has a lot of violent actions from gun wielding to explosions and it also depicts a father that seem to be neglecting his son/ favours his nephew over his son because his nephew (Kristofferson) is more physically agile than his son (Ash) and in a way reminds him of himself.

What I loved about the movie is the compassion that the animals show towards each other as they stood together against the farmers, and when Mr Fox and Ash went to free Kristofferson after he was captured by the farmers and they threatened to kill him if Mr Fox did not hand himself over to them, this movie teaches us to support and stand by one another as the animal community stood by Mr Fox.
